My site provides people with a place to watch the TV show The Office (US version) online for free. Revenue figures using AdSense and a pop-up program are at over $350 so far this month, getting around 40k uniques a month and around 500k page views. Alexa rank - 3 month average - is 150k, but this is increasing. Traffic also increases substantially (~3 times a normal day) when a new episode is released, and evens out at a chunk higher than the previous daily average. From what I understand sites are worth between 12 and 24 months of revenue...could I get this much for my site?
Can I ask what is the deal with Alexa a tool bar required operation for numbers if you incourage others to use the bar and view your site. I would like to know better only from a learning point of view what your Page Rank is. So I can learn the ratio between the two. My Alexa is over 1 million but my Page Rank is a 5 for one and a 6 for another and not that we utilize either one for our marketing tool. In other wrods our clients do not know anything about this ratings stuff. Thank you for sharing RFlame. Logic
I think these website value estimators are useless. The real value is just like anything... it is what a buyer is willing to pay for it. That nifty little script may estimate a blog at $100 but you couldn't pay someone to take over your blog. Value is really only proportional to REAL, confirmable history of cash flow generated from the site, either directly or indirectly.
