Many people type using only two fingers, but as keyboards are everywhere and still the same old fashioned way we basicaly communicate and entry data to computers, it is important being able to type well and fast using all the fingers. I did a short course at home with an old typing machine when I was a child and then I learnt to use my fingers properly. I still look sometimes at the keyboard, specially when I write in a language I don't know well or using a different alphabet so it still has to improve. DP by the way is helping me to type faster and with fewer mistakes.
I always use all my fingers for typing (90 wpm typing speed) No need to see keyboard for alphabet DON.
I look at the keyboard as I start typing but after that I just type with all my fingers. It just takes a bit of time. I tried it once when I was a little younger - didn't really work but then I tried it again and it sort of 'just happened' and been able to do it ever since.
Whenever i use both my fingers and type too quickly it usually results in one or two spelling mistakes where i have pressed the wrong button plus i always have to do it while looking even though i know roughly where the keys are.
Yup I use all my fingers to type. I can type at a maximum speed of 125wpm with 100% accuracy with an average speed of about 100-110wpm.
I use all my fingers, in the proper way, I was taught how to in school and it's just never left me I guess. I hate seeing people typing so slow using only one or 2 fingers, my dad does it and I can't cope sometimes...
I can type without looking at the keyboard peeps. It takes some practise and i can also type with both hands at the same time and yes i do make some mistakes sometimes hahahaha
I have to see the key board to type the words and have to acknowledge that I am not a master at the keyboard!
I type without looking almost all of the time. Kinda sad really; I spend far too much time on the computer.
I tried to learn that devorak keyboard thing. It is layed out in a way that is suposed to make you type faster. But its so hard to learn a new keyboard layout.
65 WPM, least thats what the test said. Max of 3 errors, think I had 2. As I took the test, my speed kept going up but I only had to pass 2 over 40WPM. Its good enough. Course can't type that fast when coding since all those blasted ( { < > }[] etc, get in the way.
