It's sad to see people thinking writers are cheaply available. and it's more sad to see writers willing to write articles at such a mesly price $2 what do you think? I had say, if you find someone to write for you at such a measly price at dp, I would be surprised.
If I am under bidding you guys or “too cheap†then I apologize, but I browsed through the latest …about 20 pages in this section and there were about 10-15 writers that were posting threads and they are offering original work for cheaper than what I’m paying. So I fell that I’m offering above the market price on this one.
I'm a writer and a bit of a perfectionist, so an article from me and many others on this forum, can take an hour, sometimes longer. Make it 2 cents a word and you may get the quality you're asking for, but the whole job, not 2 articles. Just my suggestion and I have a grain of salt handy, if you want it. (gr)

My sentiments Exactly!. People here are dropping their prices WAY too low just to get a measly one-time job, which usually are pathetic employers AS WELL AS the writers too. So both end up in a bad deal. If you want quality AND quantity, you gotta pay. I'm sorry to interrupt your thread so, but I'm an authentic article writer, and i do NOT do more than 3-4 articles per day just to preserve my quality of articles. I'm sorry to say that either the system here is degrading because of people who don't provide quality and just do work for name's sake or what.. I am utterly clueless.. By the way, sorry you are being bombarded with naysayers. I agree there are many offers in the content forum from cheap writers, so you obviously did your research and believed these were traditional rates. It's not your fault. It's all right here in this forum and until the writers themselves learn to value their time and talent, those "cheap writer wanted" posts will continue. All the best to you. Hope you weren't offended by these posts.
I don't really mind that he's offering $2, that's not what bothers me. It's that he's expecting perfect articles for that price. The people who are willing to charge $2, are worth $2. They can hardly speak english and they have no real writing talent to speak of, thus $2 is probably the right price point for them.
I am overwhelmed with all you folks above raising the bar. $ 2 per 400 words is not the standard here but way below our standard at dp. All you guys above, Why don't we just talk to our writers here and ask them to increase their prices as even they want to earn more money. We can ask them to not charge below a point. why doesn't the admin here doesn't seem to care for the writing community and apply a rule. Say like, $ 10 for 500 words should be minimum for beginners that has to be charged here. Nothing below that. People can have good pricing structure above that as well. At least we will not be considered cheap or cheaply available. It's a shame that people charge so low for something so creative and gratifying. I charge like 5c per word and will be increasing my price as well coz I do brilliant work and my clients love my work. They keep asking for more when ever they require.
Simply because a lot of the people here aren't worth any more than $2 for 500 words. It's not that they are all working well below the right price point, they just don't have the talent to charge any more... The problem is that the people buying these services don't realise this and think that cheap is better....
