So how does one get the google authority status, to have a few links to your other pages displayed when searching for the site?
First off, there is no such thing as "authority status" it is just sitelinks. "Sitelinks are additional links Google sometimes generates from site contents in order to help users navigate your site. Google generates these sitelinks periodically from your site's contents." Google.com They then go on to state: "Sitelinks are completely automated, and we show them only if we think they'll be useful to the user. If your site's structure doesn't allow our algorithms to find good sitelinks, or we don't think that the sitelinks are relevant to the user's query, we won't show them." Google.com So that tells us that it is largely to do with a web sites structure. So now all you need to do is find a site which has sitelinks and look at the structure of said site.
thanks for the info. I've seen many wp blogs have the sidelinks, and WP is what I usually use for my sites too. From what I can see this is for aged sites having many good links.
Hey MG, long time no see.. I don't know how/why, but my Durpal site has these "authority" looking site-links and my WP blog does not..
You tend to get *site links* when: A) You get good traffic to those pages... they are also the entry point to your website for many people. B) You get some links pointing to those pages and most of the time "A" kicks in.
My experience: A) You get good traffic to those pages From Google Search... they are also the entry point to your website for many people.
This is usually dependant upon google but what google considers as your site or blog' simportant pages.
