    i agree with you triphp, one cannot guarantee a certain PR... also, even if you do get that PR, what will be the chances that it won't actually *stay* that way?

    There is no way one can guarantee a high PR especially PR 8 and the probability of staying at such high rank is less as sally_seo said...

    Thats why you see so many members screaming "Scam" when their payment to the SEO companies that promised this failed to deliver. But still such offerings continues and members continue to be suck into such scams. Sad but I guess learning takes time.

    Because offering a guarantee makes the claim seem more real.

    Why do people believe it? Sometime the guarantee is money back, so in that
    case we can guarantee anything we want as long as we are willing to refund
    the money if the customer is not satisfied.

    Most people do not take the time to ask apply for a refund.

    That is an old marketing fact.
