House Speaker Pelosi calls Bush 'a total failure'.
WASHINGTON - President Bush has been a "total failure" in everything from the economy to the war to energy policy, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi said Thursday.

Why don't you pass a bill then forcing the "failing" president out of office?
If a president has an approval rating less then 45% for a certain period of time - new elections to be held.
Bush has the insulting 23% approval for quite some time.

    1. A bill that did that would be unconstitutional.

    2. There is no reason to amend the Constitution to put in some lame system based on polls.

Number 2. Makes no sense to me. Seems like, as it is right now, if Hitler 2 gets the Power in US there is no way to be removed from power.

You want successful people to lead this great country or failures?

Agreed, and also polls are outrageously inaccurate, whose polls do you want to depend on to kick out a democractically elected president?

There is already a Constitutional provision to remove a President. Perhaps you should read the US Constitution to get a better understanding of the US system of government.

Whatever that provision is, it is not working. US is going down, it is obvious without any polls.

Amaizingly you can still find supporters of this course leading all of us Nowhere.

    browntwn already covered this well.

No matter how bad the president is the constitution is there for a reason, how the president can be removed is contained within the constitution.

In order to remove him/her by a different method you would need to either

#1 Go against the constitution or
    #2 Amend the constitution.

No matter how bad things are going our constitution is what will keep us great over the long haul, to fracture it for the short term is simply idiotic IMHO.

I'll take 8 bad years over eroding the constitution any further, even if the president in power him/herself is eroding it with bad legislation.

Bush is definitely NOT popular, I think everyone knows this already.

But why does everyone insist on blaming him for EVERYTHING. We do have other elected officials that aren't doing shit to help the situation either. Full blame cannot be placed on the President....

If Pelosi is calling Bush a failure, she should be pointing a finger at herself as well....

So very true. As unhappy as I am with Bush, I am just as unhappy with the Democrat controlled congress. Despite their grand proclamations of change prior to the last congressional elections, they have continued to rubber stamp almost everything sent their way by Bush and the remnants of his Republican administration.

Someone should tell Pelosi that continuing to approve funding for actions she publicly decries makes her just as culpable as the one who started it.
