    http://www.tnx.net/robots.txt

They are explicitly denying google from crawling.

well spotted, but this begs the question why

If tnx were doing anything illegal, google would send a human vistor to check the site anyway.

But,denying google to crawl should not be the only cause to get banned.
They are more or less like TLA.And an abrupt increase in non contextual backlinks like that from TNX may put your relatevely young website in trouble. !! So i think its better to reconsider TNX

TNX has absolutely nothing to do with the website in question getting banned by Google! When TNX code is installed it is invisible to a naked eye or any search engine bots. It is impossible to start selling links the next day or even in 3 days after TNX code is installed, so author of this topic is wrong and looks like he is not willing to accept this fact.

Domain name TNX.net has been manually banned by Matt Cutts for no reason. Even though the domain has PR0 it has absolutely no impact on any of the participating websites. Google PR means absolutely nothing to our company, we don't care how Google rates us, all we care about - our clients, and we have thousands of them all over the world.

I suspect the OP might be sandbox due to some other undisclosed reasons and TNX just happened to be there, a perfect scapegoat I guess.

Indeed, the people who point 15 million links at terms don't seem to be having any issues ranking still :/

It must be some other reason of ban. There are thousands of people using TNX without getting banned.

    Well,

The day after the links were acquired they showed up in Google Webmaster Tools.

    This is not possible because:

    1. It takes 2 days for links to appear on websites they were purchased on.

    2. After they appear on those site, it takes months for PR0 links to get indexed in Google.

SEO newbies always think they can get top positions spending $5 a month. Well, there is no magic in this world.

agtile, all I can say is that you are a newbie too, just because you read things posted by other newbies + they are so outdated =)

We sure do. I like to learn things from the source, not from people's blogs.
