2 x $30 Logo & Header Design Contests - Dating and Pet niche

Hi,

I need two different headers designing complete with logos for two sites I will be developing soon.

Both sould be 760 pixels wide and around 80-120px high. I will require two PSD files for each one, one of the logo on its own and the other of the full header.

I am open to ideas for both so just use your creativity. The only requirement is that the logos use the full domain name in them:

This one is for online dating and so popular themese are cupid, hearts, love, etc

Colour is up to you - a bluey purple is what Im leaning towards at the moment but open to ideas.

Like the idea of using a cartoon image of a turtle or something similar.

Should use natural colours - Green being one of the obvious colours for this one.


I can provide straplines if you need them but would like to see some ideas first

Wow some REALLY good entries....I can see this is going to be tough! Thanks for all the entries, a few very promising ones here so here is some feedback for each entry...

I like the idea and the simplicity of this one, however I dont think pink is the right colour as it's too feminine and I need the site to appeal to men and women.

I quite like the logo on this one but not so keen on the background Im afraid. I think it should one have the photo on the left or right (maybe both) but the est of the background should be something else - not photos.

I love the logo on this one but the header needs a bit more. Could we add the strapline 'Helping you find your perfect match' and put something on the right hand side to fill up the space? Also could you add the - between Dating and Reviews please?

I see what you have done here and in some ways I quite like it. However I dont think its quite right for what I need. It reminds me a bit like a small childs book which is not what the site will be, it will be an adults guide on how to look after turtles. Therefore I think it needs to be a bit more adult orientated.

 

Another great dating entry, its nice but maybe slightly too female. Im also not sure on the logo, too many hearts within it I think. I like the 70's style font though.

I preferred how it was on the first one to be honest, on the first one just need to move the logo to the left a bit, add the dash in and the strapline, maybe make the .co.uk a little larger then just find something to fill the space on the right

Ok thanks for the entries and revisions everyone. On the dating one I do really like TightWads and although there were some really good entries and its been tough I think if I can get TightWads entry right that is the ones Ill go with.

The turtle one is still well and truly open though if anyone else wants to get in on that one.

Still not quite there mate, can you go back the original and keep it exactly as it was (same colours and keeping the swirly lines underneath). Then just move the logo to the left a bit more, and add in a small dash.

Then on the right maybe you could put the strapline and another heart or something? Im not keen on the image you added on this one. If we can get this right then yours is the one I will go with for the dating one.

Yeah I do quite like that one although the colouring will be key as I dont want it to look to childrens book like.

I would also like you to try and do something with the URL to make it more logo like and also add in a strapline something like:

"Find out everything you need to know about keeping a turtle"
