WidgetBucks is definitely not a scam. I'm not using it right now because of poor CPM performance -- particularly on traffic from outside the US, UK, and Canada. I test a lot of these "second tier" ad systems repetitively -- hoping that one will improve to the point where it really makes running their ads worthwhile. WidgetBucks is promising support for most of Western Europe in it's CPC program. When that happens, I'll run another test with them.
To support Will.Spencer's comment, WidgetBucks has paid its publishers and bloggers each month, on time, since we launched late last year. There was a lot of early speculation -- as there tends to be with any new offering. Living up to our earlier statements, on Tuesday we expanded our CPC network into Europe, starting with the UK. Other Western European countries will follow by month's end. So, ultimately, you'll be able to double dip from the same ad instance...CPM display ad followed by CPC shopping ad. It's no doubt that WidgetBucks is paying because it's one of the worst performing ad networks so 90% of publishers never make it to a first payout before they pull the ads from their site. btw, Dean, you might tell your bosses they need to fix the password recovery form. It isn't working.
Hey Dean! Welcome to the forum! It's nice to see you here. Can anyone image the AdSense people coming to the forum to address issues and interact with their publishers? Heck, I did $40k in revenue with AdSense last month and they barely bother to return my emails.
Thanks Will. Bryce, thanks for the heads-up. I'll have the guys check it out. Incidentally, if anyone is interested in getting a sneak preview of some of the new widget skins we have coming up, shoot me a pm with your email and widgetbucks user name (no passwords) -- next week I'll shoot over to you a link that shows what we have coming up.
