In most of the countries, there is a minimum age stipulation for girls to get married and willingness of the girl is more important. You can't force any one to marry and have sex. That's called rape, by whatever name you call that...

 

I don't think a 10 year old is equipped to give consent.

I'm not against other religion but having a child married to an old man is just crazy! I bet that kid doesn't have her first period yet.

Theres a lot of generalisations going on around here, may I point out though it is the regions culture not the religion that has brought this about.

You say muslims and spit but only the other month an entire fundamentalist church of later day saints community was raided for peadophillia and incest, girls as young as 10 were not only being forced to marry early but were also brain washed into "wanting to get married and have lots of babies as soon as possible"

Where ever it comes from this behaviour is unacceptable, and the groom, the families involved and anyone involved should be tried with peadophilia and rape charges.

if its happening with over 50% of teh girls in ISLAMIC countries, why do muslims just walk the other way and let this happen in the 20th century and just say ITS NOT BECAUSE OF ISLAM

u have to remember that the only people that can stop this are ISLAMIC STATE GOVERNMENTS, so they have islamic scholars as advisors and they are the only people that can ban these practices


its very hypocritical to just keep saying "ITS NOT OUR FAULT" yet you can keep saying "ITS THEIR FAULT"

 

This is because of poverty and it occurs everywhere, including the USA and Russia.

Poverty causes people to sell their kids, you can hear similar cases in many Asian and south American countries. As a matter of fact, 90% of such cases happen in non-Islamic countries.

This has nothing to do with Islam or Muslims, beside the fact that the family was Muslim.

In Islam, a women can't be wed by force && till she reaches puberty.
