Most people use GoogleRankings but It does not work quite good. I would suggest you to create a list of the important keywords and phrases and to check them manually in Google. I know it is time consuming but you can choose on of the indexes which work best for you.
I would suggest the use of IBP, i have used it on my website. It worked really well. Results where very accurate.
I am currently using this one www.seocheck.org it lets you crawl automatically and shows charts for all keywords with their positions. George23
I have been using a free version of the software call IBP to run ranking reports. I think most of the rest of the software is mostly useless, but the tracking tool has been very helpful. I've been using it and it updates regularly for about 18 months. Maybe I got lucky but the free version never expired. Anyway its a great tool and it can be found at http://www.ibusinesspromoter.com/download/index.htm.
As I mentioned I use IBP. I just ran a report yesterday that included 25 keyword phrases. All it took was a half dozen mouse clicks to launch the program and 15 minutes later. The program allows me to create a PDF or to print a hard copy for a client. This tool saves me huge amounts of time.
I found this www.slideshare.net/seosmarty/track-google-position However there is a list of several others posted at this forum, http://forums.seochat.com/seo-tools-75/400-post-free-tools-collection-64545.html

http://www.keywordenvy.com is brand new, and really works for me. This thing can spit out rankings like the other tools, but it also tracks over time with graphs, and it can also tell you things like which keywords convert to sales, and which keywords bring in the most traffic.
Very interesting, thanks for mentioning it. I checked it out, and it's just an excel spreadsheet to make it easier to check your ranking, and to compare to your last result. Only works for Google.
Thanks for this info - i didn't know IBP had a demo version. It only allows you to check 10 keywords, and it's pretty slow (in order to emulate human behavior), but it seems pretty nice.
http://www.onlineseo.com/ is a beta tool, but I personally like using it. It will update your rankings on a weekly basis and compare it to the competition
