Giving Positive vs. Negative iTraders.

Most of the time, when I see someone has a negative mark in their iTrader, I check it out and it shows the person who left it also has a negative iTrader from the person complained about.

It's like "you give me one, I'll give you one" type of situation.

Has anyone not given a negative iTrader, because they wanted their own iTrader record to be spotless and were afraid the other person would give them a negative iTrader in retaliation?

I gave someone a negative iTrader because he ripped me off. He then gave me one back, started harassing me in my treads saying I was unprofessional. I reported him so many times, but no one does anything.

The mods here are pathetic for moderating iTraders.

That's not very encouraging. The iTrader ultimately becomes a joke and an additional tool scammers have to scam people. Because if you're a sincere buyer and get scammed, you will be afraid to give negative iTrader so you don't get one in return and this way scammers have open doors to continue scamming people pretending they are legitimate with their several positives.

This was the problem Ebay was trying to fix when they disabled the ability of sellers to give negative feedback to buyers. Kinda heavy handed though...

Not really. If a buyer pays, the seller shouldn't be able to leave negative feedback. The only reason to give buyer a neg would be if they don' pay after making a commitment. Sellers are far more fraudulent than buyers. Buyers do all they can do - pay the money. The money they work so hard for. After that they are at the mercy of sellers. If sellers have the ability to give buyers negative feedback at their leisure, buyers are pretty much f%$ked. That’s why I’m very wary of buying off DP. 90+% of all transaction done on DP are fraud where as a buyer gets ripped off hard core. I’ve been ripped off one too many a time. Now I’m very cautious about what I do with my money. It saddens me how scammers get away with their practices and actually get encouraged to scam. Very sad.
