Plimus (http://www.plimus.com/) is also another alternative. Using Plimus, you can accept payment from Paypal from your users and Plimus will pay you using check or wire transfer. In other words, It's just like CO but does not have any setup fee.

For your kind information, except Paypal, all other US based companies graciously offer services to Pakistanis. Ebay, Amazon, Yahoo, Gmail, Godaddy etc etc. Pakistan is all Taliban only if whole of the USA are Nazis.

Geo sucks and do you think that Paypal and Americans watch Geo TV? Geo's boundaries start and end at Pakistan.

Pakistani government? What sort of flexibility you are expecting? Paypal is dependent on banking infrastructure and in case of fraud, how banks and the local government deals with it. Our banking sector is as par with the rest of the world. We have most of the international banks like, Deutsch Bank, Citibank, Standard Chartered, ABN Amro, American Express etc operating here successfully. These banks as well as many banks offers credit cards, that are accepted on the internet as well globally.

Now, what else Paypal wants from Pakistan? I don't see any role of government here.

While I cannot speak for PP, they have nothing against Pakistan and I am sure they would love to begin operating there. The issue is one of many. Not all countries have the same laws or infrastructure that make it possible to work in all countries. Even if Pakistan has a much higher value than a smaller country, if the smaller country is more hospitable in terms of laws and payment system setup, then they will have to integrate with the smaller country instead. With that said, I am sure it is just a matter of time before PayPal works in your country.

my guess is paypal will not come to pakistan in near future
US GOVT wont allow it , i bet

why egold blocked/freezed all iranians account , do u guys have a clue

its all politics in this region

they be afraid that so called Terrorist will send funds easily from pakistan

let me tell u banking / governing is corrupt here

u can even get a CITIBINK bank statement by spending some cash(even if u dont have a account with them ,hahaha) , so no need to say we have international banks here, caz the staff is local

we need to change the system and mentality first of ppl

Use paypal by any different country, verify it by a VCC (i sell these too) and find an online partner. If ur partner is trustworthy send him the payment via paypal and tell him to send you cash via Western Union or something :)

Hey hey, you are going wrong, this is about Paypal in Pakistan not other problems, if government schedule business times here, then its our problem not yours. Keep your eye on this, "PayPal in Pakistan"

Seems like a nice idea but nothing can be done uless both parties ( Pakistani Govt. and PayPal ) agree to this and at this stage both of them do not seem to be interested
