How much will some SEO work cost

I believe what I need should be simple . Just create the meta tags . Keywords and description . So i was wanting an estimate . So I know how much I will need thanks for all your help

 

You could do that yourself. In 2 minutes. Meta tags are not as important anymore. Other SEO work, on the other hand, could be important. Backlinks, keyword optimization, etc.

 

I know nothing on proper keywords . Want to hear something really funny . My site is number 1 in the serps out of almost a million results wierd huh . It has no keywords or nothing . Dont believe me check it out for yourself and look at the website . No Seo work or keywords . Look it up on google . My username . 1st result outta almost a million . Any ideas please let me know . Look what might be wrong give me some ideas to fix it . If you do not mind that is .

 

The *smart* search engines know that Websites are designed for people and not bots. Doing some basic onpage SEO as you noted can easily be done by yourself. Just do some keyword research and don't spam your keywords. The real ranking boost will come from improving your link popularity, especially from backlinks on highly relevant sites.

Probably a very uncompetitive keyword.

I am deathly scared of getting black balled in googles search . I have heard stories . So you think that i should . Work on links to my site . Any idea how many a day or how many a week . To keep under the radar of google .

 

Well your keywords are your url.. if that's the right one, which helps a lot.

For keywords, just do: "targeted vistors daily" and any other keywords related to that.

For description, just give a nice description of your website.

Since your site is already on top, it isn't that important. It's good that its on top, but I don't think it's a widely searched term. Plus the other websites in that search.. suck.

Also, even if you navigate to a different page, the 'home' tab is still highlighted.

 

Yeah not sure how to quite fix that .Thnxs stomper .That gives me something to start with . Keep me busy for a few days anyways .

 

You can't work on getting backlinks to your site without first knowing which keywords you are targeting. At a minimum, they must appear on the visible text of your page. Your most important keyword(s) should be in the page title as well. Make sure your meta keywords tag includes only the keywords found in the visible text.

When you get backlinks, make sure that the anchor text includes the keywords you are targeting. And use variants of this anchor text so your links look more natural and appealing to the audience. For example, if you are targeting "cars," use anchor text like new cars, used cars, fast cars, work cars, beater cars, clean cars, etc. Use three, and four word combos. Just make it look natural and appealing to those that will see it.

BTW the keywords you want to target may not be in your URL. Look at the directory in my signature. The url is vmoptions.com. I could probably rank for that without much effort. I would be better served targeting web directory or a variant. Do some keyword research with the link I gave you. It's much better to determine which keywords have traffic potential now then to learn about it months down the road....

 

Holy smokes . Thanks that is alot of info there . I am going to have to bookmark it and get it done as I go along . Baby steps . This I believe is going to be a long process.

$2,500 per month? Crazy. So you bought paid links with budget $2,500 per month?

 

That's actually quite affordable, especially when you consider some clients are spending $1-$5K in Adwords per day...

 

Seo cost depends on what is required. If a person has to go through 10,000 pages and redo metatags and internal linking the cost will be high. The cost would be less for redoing a 5page website.

 

I was thinking buying permanent one way linking once I am fully up and running . If that is even possible . and a 10k page website . That is crazy

 

$2,500 ain't much money now days specially when your speaking to search marketing. Honestly though dude for good SEO your going to pay a min. of $2,500 per month. Our min contracts run at $2,500 per month, but a big majority of our contracts we have with our clients are around $5,000 per month. And a big majority of our clients renew and upscale their contracts such as higher monthly budgets with more long term such as yearly contracts.
