My site hit the first page for a competitive keyword. I added more content to the page , since I always here content is king. Because the page got a little lengthy I added another small contact form on the top right hand corner. I fell to the fourth page, should I take the second contact form off and just leave the one on the bottom of the page?
For some reason I don't think adding that contact form affected your position in SERP (Search Engine Results Page). These seem to fluctuate from time to time, especially if you're website is newer. What kind of website is it? Is it a blog? Is it just a regular webpage?
The site has been around for a few years but I just started building links about 6 months ago. Everything was looking good. It was going back and fourth from the first page than back to the third. It would do that every few hours. I decided to add more content and than another contact form on the top of the page and now it wont move from the top of page four. Its a business opportunity website
What kinds of links? Are they reciprocal (you link me, I link you)? Do you just keep adding content to your main page?
all my links are back links no reciprocal ones. I dont usually add content. I just thought since I was hitting the first page that I would add a little more to make the site more informative about the product. Its seems to be a coincedence though once I added the second contact form to the top of the page that the page dropped. You dont think that had anything to do with it?
If you honestly believe the contact form has something to do with the drop, remove it. The only way to know is to split test.
