Top methods for blog promotion?

I've been in blogging a short time but I never really knew the best ways for promoting blogs specifically. What are some of the best methods and sites for bringing massive traffic to blogs?

I guess that blog sites get special previledges from certain SE like google especially if you use their blog sites so no need to SEO. Dont know why blog get this compare to websites which must fight each other. Guess what.

 

try and comment on 'do follow blogs' this way you can get a link back to your site and possible referal. join some forums where your blogs are relevant and start getting your link in to the signiture and forum posts.

or post your blog in free advertising forums

Make sure U use propriate plugin for your blogs for your reader to submit your post to social bookmarking services like the one I'm using now Sociable, its almost crucial for wordpress blogs out there to include Sociable in its plugin list for easy self bookmarking process.
