This weekend finds candidates Barack Obama and John McCain tied up according to the latest Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll.

Sunday’s numbers show Barack Obama and John McCain each attracting 43% of the vote. When "leaners" are included, the two candidates are tied at 46%. For most of the past month-and-a-half, Obama has led McCain by approximately five percentage points.

I'm wondering if the recent news that the Bush administration may begin moving troops out of Iraq before elections might not further take some wind out of Obama's sails.

Maybe people are beginning to figure out that Obama is full of crap, and just another politician?

Interesting that Bob Barr is polling 5% or so in many states. Add him to McCain's #s, and it's not a done deal that Obama gets the Presidency.

    Worse than McCain

A main difference is a good chunk of McCains supporters don't even truly like him.

I suspect Rasmussen Reports are slanted.

No matter how bad Obama will be (and he will be a disaster) Insane McCain will be a lot worse.

I'll be amazed if Americans would vote another Republican in after 8 years of the disastrous Bush. And as McCain would be a clone of Bush it would be even more astonishing.

I don't buy the argument that McCain is another Bush. He may believe in the Iraq War but he would of done it a lot differently, and probably a lot more competently. He was calling for Rumsfeld's resignation way before it was cool for a republican to do so.

I also think that although McCain won't be winning the nobel prize in economics, he does understand that you give huge tax cuts and keep spending. That's why he opposed the Bush tax cuts at first, because there was not a reduction in spending. But that's an explanation that doesn't work too well in sound bites and campaign ads so he decided to just pander to the tax cutting crowd because he really wants to be president and he knows that this is his last shot.

You're not the only one. I was expecting photos of Obama and McCain tied to a chair.
