FDC servers are down, the whole net work is down please read the thread on wht that i posted, this is no way his fault... and he and hundreds and thousands of hosts are down.. one of mine is down as well.
looks like even big dcs lie on there sites as there been off for 7hours and dont seem to have spare routers
FDC has a router issue. So that is what they are telling people (that is what they told me about my server) they could have told others something different,,..... servers were down for about 12 hours.. This is a message that someone else had received from fdc.. While we do understand that you are upset with the downtime we will not be applying any credits to accounts. this outage was completely unforseen and while it impacted service for an extended amount of time we have no SLA in place to cover you in case of such downtimes. If you have any further questions feel free to reopen your ticket. --FDC
Let me be more specific? What was the "router issue" What specifically caused a partial outage of a company that purports to maintain such a high level of redundancy.
Have a look at this thread: http://www.webhostingtalk.com/showthread.php?t=708327 This issue is resolved, but it was a downtime of around 12 hours. I think people should choose the network with low latency before purchasing. Although, FDC was quite stable for last few years with high latency, not sure how did this happen as they haven't explained what has happened.
FYI, I've been on that forum longer than I have been here.. And that is a LONG TIME!!! Nothing over there really indicates what the problem was - outside of "router issue"... I'm just curious because it might help those of us in the industry that carry a similar redundancy.
