I just read the very helpful sticky post about iTrader. Am I correct in understanding that you cannot give feedback if the transaction was done strictly through PMs? I completed a job for a person and wanted to give him feedback for the transaction but there wasn't a thread started. If I do work with a client through a thread, should I be posting something like "PM sent" in order to have the ability to give feedback?

How do you report PM spam? I've had two this week already but wasn't sure how to report it or who to report it to.

    Thank you,
    Tina G

you don't have to participate in a thread to leave feedback. if you do post a "PM sent" type of message, expect an infraction. if there is no thread and you do a deal with someone, no feedback can be given as there is no "deal thread".

With the rules being enforced against pm sent, more info, and other type of posts of no value, it is not uncommon to do business by PM once a thread is started. As long as you honestly completed a transaction with the person, you can still leave iTrader as long as you did not leave a comment in the thread. Juts beware that some categories like freebies do not allow you to leave iTrader. Also make sure you use the correct thread URL in the rating.

I love the fast response that I always get in this forum. I should have started hanging out here a long time ago. It's too bad that the iTrader system only works with actual threads, though. I have had excellent dealings with a person on this board but it was strictly PMs and IMs so there was never an initial thread. I was hoping to be able to give him positive feedback.

Thank you for correcting me on the "PM sent" - that's what I thought from reading the sticky about the rules but then I keep seeing it on almost every thread so I thought perhaps I had misunderstood.

    1. To leave iTrader, a thread must exist, and you either must be the OP or must be dealing with the OP (you can't leave iTrader if you found someone through another member's thread for instance).

    2. You do not have to post in the thread - it just has to exist, and be how the deal started.

    3. If you do want to post in the thread to demonstrate that you participated in the deal, leave a review post after the deal is completed.

    4. As others have said, just forward PM spam to any moderator that happens to be online.
