If you have got a coupon then that can give you discount.It should be an option provided for sellers.

Sometimes,You can get it from ebay for free..What you want to buy?.You can buy it when they give u a discount..

 

I believe you are referring to the Paypal Gift Certificates. They must be issued by the sellers and you can only use it to purchase their own products. You cannot use a certificate from one merchant and use it on another merchant's site.

Gift Certificates are however not free like that in the real world. It however allows you to purchase the gift certificate and give it to someone else to use to get a sort of a discount, subsidized by the one who purchased the gift certificate.

I believe you have seen those gift certificates in the department stores where you pay $50 for a $50 gift voucher. You can then give it to your friend as a birthday present and she can use it in the store to buy what she wants and top up the difference if any. It works the same way with Paypal Gift Certificate.
