Direct Linking With AdWords

    Hey,

I found an offer on CB i would like to promote. I checked on Google and for most key phrases i came up with this product is not being advertise - But for some it does.

Can i / should i build a campaign on AdWords and direct link the ads to this offer? I'm going to put in my campaign only the key phrases that are not used yet?

Can the same display URL (and destination domain) be in different accounts for different keywords?

I know Google policies are changing on these issues, does anyone knows how it is lately?

    Thanks.

It might not be listed because the particular keyword doesn't convert. Be careful.

Might temporarily work. But better just to spend the $15 on a .com address, build a quick site in an hour, and publish it. Then you know it won't disappear.

You may get away with it for a little while. But you should pre-sell with your own domain. It's a much better long term solution and your conversions will be better (if your landing page is any good.)

Instead of getting a .com for $15, get a .com for $10 at godaddy, lol.

I love GoDaddy, especially for domains ;) For hosting, you might be able to find something cheaper.

You can get private domains for $10 with Host Monster --- unlimited addons to one hosting account. I've had no problems with them... I have 15 addon domains with 'em.

I like to put privacy on my domains so ... it ends up being quite a bit cheaper than going with GoDaddy.

    what? 10$ for .com

    Go to namecheap.com , it's 9.xx (don't rememeber the exact value)

Apply the coupon GLOWINGSKY.. you get a 10$ discount and it's about 8.30$

    Yes you can do this.
If the product has been around for a while and no body is bidding on these keywords then there is usually a reason for this.

as said above. Buy your own domain and cloak your aff link.
You can then post your domain around on various sites.

I believe you can use the same domain in different account but dont use the same keywords. Again - its best to check with google on this one.

    cheers,

is direct linking a violation of Adwords TOS?

Techinically the domain of the destination URL and the display URL are different. (Dest = clickbank, display = affiliate product). But the "landing page" does match the display URL.

    I'm confused.

uh...yah. "can" and "allowed" are two different things.

You can't point an Adwords campaign to a redirect page. So if I bought my own domain and just pointed it to a page that redirected to the Clickbank page, that would be a violation of the Adwords TOS.

I also understand that if I use my own domain to have a legit landing page and that landing page points to the affiliate that's totally OK, of course.

That part of the TOS is clear. I'm trying to do this white hat, so I need clarification on whether or not we can direct link to the Clickbank domain which redirects to the end affiliate landing page.
