Is it possible to have an invisible page that can only be viewed if someone has the link. I want this so for my writing website I can have a page for my writers to pick what jobs they want to do.
Actually the simplest way would be to have a directory that is password protected and the page in question would be named index.php, index.html or however you like. If you have cPanel you can click to the Password Protect icon from main page to set it up for that directory.
Yes, I have cpanel, and I see the password protect thing, but I'm a noob at this. I am using wordpress on my site and don't understand how to do that.
you can either use htaccess or create a simple logon system, if you're looking to have it created for you, then i can provide competitive prices (hidden agenda)
Hmmm, well with WP you can make a post private and it can only be seen by someone with a password. When you write the post scroll down the page (in admin) and look for "Passwor protect this post". That is all you have to do, no need to spend any money or edit any files. The functionality is built right into WP for you
You are welcome. That option is included in WP version 2.5, hopefully you will see it there. If not then you may need to upgrade. Actually 2.6 is out now.
The best option will be to protect a directory where you put an index file. If you have wordpress you have the option to password protect a post.
