Maybe the spammer should use alert911 AT gmail. Btw, if you search the big G with keyword "verify gmail", you will be surprise with the results.
Yes, I know scam, I just put it here to show every body how some stupid do this....and let me know ID where I can complain it like fishing mail or fraud... Thanks!
why in the world would somebody want to hack your gmail? unless you got a thousand dollar adsense accounts or google cash out accounts, which he still couldn't cash out
sick fake, dont know why this is even a question? 100% fake, i will have to let the ppl kno about this
Based from the grammar, its obviously a fake one. And if its Google, maybe there'll be a pop-up or something that'll warn you.
Actually this would be a hackers dream. Think of all those confirmation letters. Dear user, Your paypal password is this, your credit card number is this, your social security number is this, your mothers maiden name is this
Also don't follow any urls. They can make the landing page look just like the site they are scamming. I even had one scam get me one time that looked like an ebay warning I filled it in and then it even redirected me into my real account. However there was no warning when I got into my user CP. Then I looked at the URL in the email and it was not ebay. I was so pissed.
I used to get this kind of fake mails supposedly from paypal and other big financial companies asking me to verify the username and password. It is an old trick but rarely people falls prey to this kind of tactics now
Password yes, but I'm not sure if you can get the rest of the info right away. But with access to the Gmail account, you could get it by using the account to email people...
Older than the internet, I hear they used to sue these things to con people into giving up their buggy's.
Lol did you read what the thread is about. She got a fake email and was asking about it. She isn't trying to scam anyone.
