Alexa Rankings

How often does alexa update its rankings? Is a ranking in the 7 millions, good for my site's first week? (We also have 203 registered users and 325 unique page views).

 

I personally cant bother less about Alexia since i think the way they calculate traffic is bs

 

They update the ranking every tuesday and friday of every week.

 

It's important if you sell advertising and banner spots in your website, you have to use the alexa rank to set up the prices.

That is not true.

You CAN use it to set rates, but do not have to use it. I have never used it for anything as the rankings are a bit skewed!

Alexa ranks can be forged so easily.. they are basically obsolete in my opinion.

 

Alexa rank is not yet polished and accurate...

 

i would get back to building your site and forget about alexa, its meaningless
