installing apache 2.0.63 on linux need some advises!

    i wanna know if i will do a fresh install of apache 2 on my linux machine ... the only settings that i may do are in httpd.conf ?????

    you can choose to install apache before the installation of your linux. It this way, it's easier and make some changes only in the httpd.conf later.

    I mean: I have linux installed, and apache 2.0.63 + php 4.04 + mysql, and 2 site that are online now .. / and all these was installed by other man that was fired .. so i am new to linux ...

    my question was if i make now a fresh install only for apache and i save my sites in other folder and then reupload (i also have a big database with more text and pictures) .. now the only changes that i will make are in new created file httpd.config ?? or are and other files that need to be changed ?

    and if i do these fresh install of apache it will work with already installed php and mysql >>??

    pls. help !
