This is BS. Just like your article written by a woman who couldn't have gotten within 50 feet of the meeting, let alone a leader to get a quote.

People in NWFP are farmers for the most part. There is no industry, hardly any government or military. They are not professional soldiers, many of them cannot read or write, most will go their entire life without seeing a dentist.

They are defending the tribal lands because they don't recognize British or UN borders between NWFP or Afghanistan. If you speak Pashto, then it doesn't matter which side of the border you are on, culturally, ethnically and religiously, you are one homogeneous group.

Illegal aliens make $100 a day cash for cutting lawns in the New York metro. No one is joining up for $1200 a month. It's not a lot of money. It works out to $40 a day.

I have no idea what you are talking about, but the argument has exhausted me.

Many troops do sign up for other reasons, such as college education and the ability to receive legal citizen status after serving. There are perks above and beyond the standard pay.

Is that why gas prices have tripled since the US has controlled Iraq?

Maybe it's the Arab states are making the world pay (yes it is) when the US acts crazy after they got attacked and struck back at those who we believed to be apart of the attack. The world allowed it.
Holy conspiracy theory batman, it's a Christian crusade from the evil infidel (from the mouths of the Muslim attackers themselves and later their human tools) or the great Satan raping the natural resources from the innocent countries.

Anyway, the world is down one sick dictatorial family, stability returns, a free market economy is in place and if things turn out civilized, we won't have to worry about Iraq trying to occupy it's neighbor for a few decades until the sickness returns.

    Anyway, I'll assume US citizen.

If you do remember, before the start of the US counterattack (aka "invasion"), Hussein (Saddam that is) was not letting weapon inspectors carry out their jobs and it was widely thought throughout the world that Iraq had WMD's. Pretty serious stuff this WMD noting the history of the Hussein (Saddam that is) regime. Innocent's lives were at stake.

After the attack on the US, it was not totally known the extent of cooperation of other Arab countries and some say that Washington assumed that Iraq had some involvement or support which turned out not to be the case.
Others say that the attack on the US was used as an excuse to attack Iraq all-the-while forgetting that Iraq was the main source of instability in the Middle East prior to 9-11, for decades. That "Butcher of the Balkins" type government has been removed.
Others say the US did it for oil. That is not the case.
Others say that the US lead a crusade. That is not the case.

    TOTALLY INCORRECT.
If you're going to try to debate at least have some form of grasp on reality.

Before we invaded the UN inspectors were in Iraq, Saddam was bending over and taking it up the ass. UN inspectors were having/ordering missiles destroyed, able to go ANYWHERE they wanted at ANY TIME. The US was also able to conduct spy flights.

The war is Iraq is winding down. It doesn't matter where we are fighting, Either way it will be a jihadist magnet. It's the same enemy in Iraq or Afganistan.

We will see if it's truly winding down or if it's going to simply be a cut and run to save face.

The insurgents of Iraq are not the same enemy in Afghanistan.

It's the same Al Qaeda jihadists coming from Yemen, Sudan, Syria, Suadi, Chechneya etc

The Iraqi army is making a lot of progress.

Sorry Grim. I do not see Hussein "taking it up the azz" by limiting the inspectors to only the areas he (Hussein) felt that they should go and limiting them to areas that were obviously not a concern. I do remember prior to 9-11, several UN inspectors stating that their access was being limited although one who said it was not. I don't believe anyone is going to prove beyond the shadow of a doubt that they were or they weren't at this time.

In any event, Washington had an axe to grind with the Saddam because of his past and present (at that time) behavior. Frankly, I am glad he is removed aren't you? Hummmm?

We were worried about underground storage bunkers and you invoke the spy plane scenario. Priceless.

How can it be "cut and run" when the US achieved their primary mission of removing Hussein (Saddam that is) years ago. Their staying after that point was a courtesy to the Iraq people to aid them in achieving some kind of stability (not for oil). A stability currently undermined by the same mindset that attacked the US.

I guess the US is at fault for not predicting that crazy lunatics would inhibit progress after the US liberated Iraq and giving the Iraqis the opportunity for free will.

You honestly have no clue do you? Before we invaded Saddam was forced into a corner, inspectors WERE allowed to go ANYWHERE they wanted ANYTIME they wanted. Please do yourself a favor and learn a little something before you continue to post falsehoods.
#1 Am I glad he is removed? Sure, am I glad we were sold a war on BS lies, costing us money we do not have and dropping the ball from our actual enemies? HELL NO.
#2 Spy planes are able to track if something is moved from an 'under ground bunker' spy flights is only one thing that was going on.

Again do some research, know at least a fraction of the truth before you try to debate in these forums.

I honestly don't even know how to respond to such incompetent garbage.

Please do some research and come back when you at least have an inkling of reality.
