100 great articles all in one site, or 20articles in 5 sites?

Ok so we were discussing at work about which is the best thing to do:

Let say you have 100 really good articles. What is the best thing to do here:
    1. Make 5-10 different sites filled with 10-20articles each and pointing to your "main" site.

    2. Make ONE big site will all articles?

What is the smartest move according to you and why?

    I would recommend the following:
    - Release them to your main site at a rate of about 2 per week.
    - Add a sitemap each time you add the article.
    - Check to ensure that your article has been index to your main site. This will mean that your site is the originator of the article (when google check it).
    - Roll it out to around 5 of the main article sites.

This means you will get a gradual build up of links and content. You can roll out to many different article site but I would say 5 per article is about right.

If the articles are all about the same niche, one website. If the articles are covering several niches group the similar articles and make mini sites.

I think one big site is good as long as all the articles are somewhat related to each other.

Interesting...I tend to think that it's better to add them all to one site...still im hearing a lot of people telling me to spread them to different sites.

There is no need to spread them to different sites. but i recommend to make a sub folder as per the subject structure like digital point forums.

Search Engines like fresh content and if you update your site with fresh content "Article" you will get good benifits from the search engines. and the resone behind the saparating article in sub folder is its easy for search engine and user also to find out the article on any specific subject.
    i hope its useful for u :)

Google just about anything these days and you'll likely get a Wikipedia page on the first page.

I would make my decision based on the content of the articles. If they are all on the same topic or niche then make it one site. If you can divide them into sub-niches then multiple sites would work.

google does love big sites, keep them on one, providing they are similar in nature.

I think a lot would depend on the niche, too, and how closely related all the articles are to each other. If it's the same niche, I think one (with the articles posted gradually) would work best. If they are different niches, I'd vote for multiple sites.
