Sure isn't. The link is no-followed and profiles are non-indexed (not 100% sure about the latter). But yeah, unless you think the link can drive some quality to your site, the SEO value of the link is basically worthless.
I have seen in the past too a lot of profiles at facebook ate with PR 5 - 6/......so that means even if we have a backlink from that page...it means nothing ...
If the link has the nofollow attribute, it will not pass PageRank to your page, HOWEVER, recent tests are showing that the link will pass relevance. In other words, if the anchored text in the link is "free car insurance quote", your page would become more relevant for that query. Keep in mind, that the number one criteria to rank for any query is being relevant to that query. PageRank and other factors come after relevance. Bompa
So many facebook profiles are PR6. Even my facebook profile, which I made only 1 month ago is PR6. I'm pretty sure its worthless in terms of seo.
guest don't even see your profile, it's redirected to a page like this http://www.facebook.com/people/Brandon_Sheley/669411250 so therefore, it doesn't really matter what the PR is..
does myspace convert links to msplinks.com/1209y0128y12 whatever or something like that? I dont think they would allow anyway.
You people have to make your profile page relevant to your website subject before putting the link there
actually Google bot can't access profile page but you can use places like market place to get a back link to your site
