I'm putting my sales letter through it's 3rd major revision right now. This is the latest. I'm going for a more "web 2.0" look I guess - and I'm also experimenting with not using colorful type (using just black) to see if that makes it look more "professional." But this is just the beginning of the changes... I'm hoping to get some input on this...
hey zibblu, that looks great. you may want to just hammer on those h1 and h2 headers some more. if you do it right, you can tell the entire "story" of the sales letter in headers. 75% of the peoplle who make it to the bottom of the sales page are reading only the headers. I feel exactly the same as flip. I know I'm not in a position to put any sort of criticism, but I will so people can laugh at me When I scroll through, the black text kinda flattens everything out. Without any seriously large headers I'm not noticing anything. I'm thinking color or headers or both.
I would rather see more pictures of the kind of food your diet provides, and also some recipes preferably the diabetes-friendly kind as a sample of your diet plan. Also, you mention too early that there's a refund, guarantee and what not. I guess I shouldn't tell such an experienced marketer this, but I just feel that it's upto the affiliate promoting your product to put the buyer at ease, you should just bombard them with the information about your diet plan. Plus, some before/after shots and testimonials wouldn't hurt
Thanks for the input guys. I appreciate the constructive criticism. I'm not really sure about not using the color headlines either... Just sort of a test to see what happens. I'm trying to combine the long "direct sales" approach with a more graphical "real diet" approach like you see at say.. South Beach Diet's website or something like that. I'm going more the other way - I don't want to give too much info away about what the diet consists of - I figure that's a large part of what they are paying for. You have to tease with some info of course - but I think you have to give more benefits and not so much the nuts & bolts. hmm... I'll take that into consideration. But I've been reading a lot of Joe Vitale and a lot of his examples included an early mention of the guarantee. I know that affiliates are supposed to put customers at ease... But I don't think there's anything wrong with helping them in that regard. But in the end it's all about testing. If it works better with a later guarantee mention then I'll go with that. I'm pretty experienced as an affiliate (3 years+ making a living at it) but this is my first attempt at being a publisher. So I'm definitely in learning mode right now. As you can by dayoff's ~5 gravity - I'm just getting started with this ... Our first sale was just one month ago.
Well, everything looks pretty good, but I think green is not the right colour for the background....Apart from that, the rest is ok
