This made it to the front page of Digg. http://www.cracked.com/article_16484_6-retarded-gas-saving-schemes-people-are-actually-trying.html Look on Page 2.
I don't understand people, who are saying that Water4Gas doesn't work......If it wouldn't work, people wouldn't buy it or they would refund it. If that was the case, then Water4Gas would not be the top product of Clickbank. SIMPLE!
Nah... There's a sucker born every minute. A lot of the top selling products on CB are absolute garbage. I mean, just CRAP. 100% BS. In my niche (diet) - I've bought some of the top selling products (for research purposes) and have just been shocked by how awful they are. Seriously shockingly bad. The fact is most people just aren't going to bother asking for a refund. Or they are too stupid to know when something is ridiculously dumb and they try to follow it anyway. --- Most of the top selling products are not top selling because of the product quality but because of the quality of the marketing. A subpar product can easily outdistance a much better product if their marketing is better. I see that all the time in all sorts of niches. This is mostly true with marketing in general but I think it's particularly true on Clickbank.
Zibblu Well, that means that majority of people, who are buying Water4Gas are complete idiots who can't ask for refund, and that's why Water4Gas stays on top? I agree it's clever marketing, but the system has to work in some way. It might not be perfect, but come on, these products won't be so popular, just because of rising gas costs.
I'm not saying they are complete idiots But they probably didn't realize how much work they will have to do to even get the system running in the first place. So they may not feel like they were "scammed" (and I don't think that's a fair word to use for anything that allows the customer to get a refund so easily) just that they got themselves in over their heads. Or maybe they read it and think it's a neat idea but don't ever bother doing it. What I said really doesn't have anything to do with Water4Gas though... What I am disputing is the idea that just because a product is a top seller means it's a good product. I know for a fact that that is not the case in the diet niche. The top products in the diet niche are BS and I'd be amazed if that wasn't also the case in many other niches. Certainly it's true in the IM niche.
FINALLY, someone with half a brain on DP ! You can have a high quality product BUT if the marketing sucks, it won't sell. The very existence of scams is because there is indeed a sucker born every SECOND who buys into the hype
Since Zibblu brought up the point of poor quality ebooks.... let me ask. Do publishers ever send out free copies of an ebook to affiliates for review? I really believe in my ebook because it was written from years of experience and offers solid advice. I know from looking at a lot of the publishers in the marketplace, that a lot of people just put some crap together and packaged it well. That's why my image of the ebook is not some thick book image, because that's not what I am selling. I know that might not be a good idea.... Anyway, I was thinking of ways to attract affiliates, and thought of trying to get reviews. Do people do that? thanks! Nick http://www.thesmallmerchant.com/search_engine_optimization/seo_ebook.php
Well they say there is no such thing as bad publicity some people would be quite proud if someone made fun of their products on the front page of di gg.
