Hello, I just started a new dog product and rating site happypetdog.com Realize that the site is not finished I just need an idea if you think the domain name is a good one and fits the topic and what you think of the logo and site concept? Please be critical / helpful
Yes you will be able to leave a rating based on a 5 star system on the product/store and you can also leave an actual written comment on a dog product or dog store if you want.
Thanks for your thoughts. Do you think the domain name "happyPetdog.com" fits the site when you first go there? I decided on that domain because it was easy to remember, seemed like it would have good resale value, brings happy thoughts to pet owners, and I was thinking that if people find and compared good products they would have "Happy dogs"
Do you think the domain fits well for the site? I just want to make sure I get the right domain for this site. It was a close competition between another domain name, that was more descriptive keyword wise, but more dull.
LOL I know. Thats another reason why I picked the domain, because I could use a cute dog like that for a logo. Im not good with design logos so I need something to work for me, so people don't notice.

Your site looks very professional....oh...that would be cool have a professional give advice "from vet so and so"....oops...am I hijacking your site!!
About the blog idea. I already have dog blog on another domain. I'm hesitant to add a blog to this site because they are time consuming and I have enough trouble finding new post ideas for my other blog. Im not sure if there is a need for a blog because of the way the site is going to be setup. Its going to have featured products on the front page that I hand pick with their current customer ratings and a link to the review. The right sidebar is going to have the links to the product categories and then below that on the sidebar, links to 5 most recent comments left by visitors.
I just updated the template a little to get a better idea of how it will look. Still not fully complete, but you get an idea of where it is headed.
I think the template is not bad and good to hear that you're still working on it.. since it is about pets i think it will be good to make the header somehow colorful. the dog up there is really nice but the plane background.. i hope you will add more colorful dog pictures to make it catchy.. many people like dogs and hence can easily become addicted.. it is not done yet and i give you ~ 5/10 for now!.. i'll check back later! .. good luck!
You mean have another dog in the background somewhere? I had something like that earlier, but found it better to have dog by itself. What does everyone else think?

I Just changed the logo. Its now got 2 smiling dogs. LMAO What do you guys think of the new logo? Do you like it with the 2 dogs or do you like the original logo below with just the one dog? Im partial to the 2 dog logo right now because it brings out more color in the logo(white dog in white background is too bland) and 2 cute dogs is better than one cute dog.
