My keywords rank for home page

I'm doing SEO for one of my clients and I've got one question. Site is ranking quite well, but the main page is shown in SERP's instead of sub-pages, which are more releveant, and the biggest amount of links were build to them. What to do, to rank for sub-pages??

are you a seo consultant? What if your client search and found out your post? it's quite funny, right?

but regarding the question, it depends on the site that you are optimizing. Homepage is more relevant, optimize it first before sub-pages, although having two sites ranking well in a particular keyword is an advantage.

Keep in mind what Jessie said, you are painting a sorry picture for yourself by asking. But never mind, no one is perfect including me. As you would know (I presume so) that each page should be used to target certain keyword. Try optimizing the content for that page for that particular keyword. Do some deep link building by using relevant anchor text (targeting keywords) for each inner page. Also try different other off page activities, especially content syndication with the same keywords. Hope this helps.

No, I can't see funny point.....And I don't think, my client will be angry for that post. As Tripta Kneoteric said, no one is perfect, and I thought this forum is for that kind of questions. I have already done the optimization, also the links to sub-pages with proper anchor where put - I'm not a newbie :) But, maybe I have to wait longer for google to re-index, what do you think?
