Where the hell did my site go??

My site is 7 months old. Ranked 2nd for secondary term and 11th for primary. I woke up two days ago to find im no where to be found.

My site is still listed, i have REALLY good quality links that paid hundreds for. I haven't been building crazy amounts of links lately, it's been steady.

    So is this temporary?
The ONLY thing thats changed is me installing the all-in-one SEO pack. which I uninstalled already.

You are not alone. My site's SERP dropped to nowhere 3 days ago. As we speak, it has not been recovered. Some keywords used to be in the 1st page go to nowhere now. All pages are still indexed under Google. No loss of indexed pages.

I suspect Google is doing some kind of update. Can someone confirm it?

Okay, so it is really nice to see that I'm not the only one that lost my rankings... I hope this is temporary.

Fluctuations in SERP is pretty common nowadays. You could be at the first page today and ranking dropped considerable days later. While we often blame and point to problem related to being penalized, I don't think this is the root cause. Most probable reasons should be due to keyword competitiveness.

It happens all the time, it's a common thing with Google. Usually everything get back to normal within a couple of days.

Don't worry, it's just the Google dance. I'll bet you get your SERP's back within a few weeks. I had the same thing happen to three of my sites this week and four other ones just jumped to the top of the SERP's. Looks like Google is in the middle of an update. All we can do is sit back, cross our fingers and hope it all works out in a few weeks.

The one reason why some of us have multiple sites/domains/streams of income is because Google is so unpredictable, it's best to not put all your eggs in one basket.

What was that? Is that why my external links have gone to zero in webmaster tools?

That's normal. The only thing to do is to keep on getting backlinks.
