Is it possible to show banner ads in blogspot blog?

Hi everyone,
I'm sorry if this sounds too basic to you.

Is it possible to add banner ads in a blogspot blog? Can I do that with existing templates in blogger? Or should I use a customized template to be able to do that? Could you people explain?

yes you can add banners to the sidebar's or in a post etc

 

The basic templates allow you to add banners in many places on the blog but I advise you choose a template that suits your needs and has a good layout. The basic themes are quite limited.

You can put your Google Adsense script and show banner ads in your blogspot blog, mate!
If you use Beta Blogger (blogspot.com), you can fill out your HTML widget with your GA code..

FOr google adsense use image ads rather than default image +text ads in adsense set up.
template has nothing to do with banner ads.
