I think it's hilarious how people say "the conversions suck on Clickbank". Uhh... what? Clickbank is not a product. It depends on the specific products! If you promote a product with crappy conversion rates, then you'll have crappy conversion rates. Add untargeted traffic on top of that then you'll have NO sales. A pre-sell is where you kind of 'warm up' your prospects, like a product review or something like that.

Basically I mean warming up the prospective customer to a product before they get to the product's sales letter. If you can do it in a way that appears "3rd party" then this will make them trust the sales letter more and will significantly increase conversions. One way you can do this with a "review" page (you see these everywhere, and for good reason - they work.) You can either review a few different products (rank them) or just go into details on the pros (and maybe a couple of cons to make it look more realistic) on a single product.
I wish I had some statistically significant data, but I don't. The only thing I did observe was I have had no sales since the 8th and that just happened to be when Clickbank made an announcement: Naturally, with processing of hoplinks and orders not affected it is likely just a coincidence that I haven't had a conversion since that annoucement. Things had started to pick up just before that - but I still need to get a mastercard purchase to even qualify for any payout at all
I think its the type of traffic your getting , seems to me your receiving people that are just curious but not really interested in buying your product!!
Argh. No sales for over 24 hours for me. This month, I havn't made anything less than 3 sales in a day. All of a sudden - ZERO! So frustrating
Yes... It definitely seems to go that way with CB. It's really hard to believe it's just chance - but maybe it is. It's almost impossible to know without a large amount of data. But I have these things where I'll be going along with 1/100 conversions (overall - across all of my accounts) and then I'll go.. 6 or 700 hops without a sale. Yeah, it's frustrating.

Hi, since the end of June till now, sales have been very slow. Traffic volume is lower as well. Seems like I am not the only one. I encourage everyone to share their experiences here as well. How's your sales this summer? I am observing a 30 to 40% dip in my traffic and sales.
LOL......I love threads like these because I've been through it all and I can say without doubt that it's something more than just natural sales fluctuation. Have your customers email you for a bonus after a purchase sometime...then you'll see just how many sales are'nt being tracked!! I had a direct linking campaign that was converting a solid 1 in 11 on about 5 keywords for 6 months only to watch it go 0 for 200 after clickbank made an UPDATE!!! LOL LOL LOL
Yet another coincidence... clickbank make a change today and I get my first sale since the last change they made on the 8th. If I had my own products, I would certainly look at having customers email me after a successful order for a bonus - definitely sounds like an interesting experiment

As I posted earlier, I didn't have any statistically significant data as my sales volume is so low. However, for a similar period of time (the previous week): 1st-7th inclusive was 80 hops and 3 sales 8th-14th inclusive was 90 hops and 0 sales Both periods cover 1 full week for the same product and the traffic was gained exactly the same way (mostly PPC with some search engine traffic using the same keywords...). As I said, I don't have statistically significant data and it was merely my observations of this coincidence. It would be better if the sales rate was similar to today with 7 hops and 1 sale
Nadavs says Do all of them show the affid, cus I check and tried and testd and found a few that dont, I dont know what I am doing wrong but....... Some do and some dont. They are just regular links.
