I like using press releases to get on the front page of Google for some of my keywords. It works almost everytime.
Well, I just want to say thanks again to the OP. I actually sat down today and tried this, and got exactly the expected results. Step by step, here's what I did: 1) One of the things sold on my site are children's birthday banners. After doing some birthday-related keyword research, I went after the phrase "frog themed birthday party". The average daily estimate was about 46 for that phrase, using SEOtool's keyword suggestion tool (which may or may not be entirely accurate). 2) Typing "frog themed birthday party" into google, it returned 105 results. Totally doable. 3) I wrote a 'great article' about frog themed birthday parties. 4) After submitting my article and waiting a few hours for it to be posted, I used DIGG on it. 5) Less than one hour later, my article was indexed, and now ranks #2 in google for "frog themed birthday party". Rock on.
Great info for newbies! What's been working well for me is writing unique content and using article marketing to build backlinks in addition to the on-page and off-page SEO optimization. Forums are also a great way of building backlinks.
Hi akdiver, You have quoted that "Anything less than 200 is perfect so we can now confirm that the keyword is non-competitive and frequently searched." How can you say that 200 is perfect? not for 150 or 100?
Thats great news! Its not a be-all and end-all for web marketing but it is an excellent technique I love to use. Happy to of helped
150 or 100 is below 200 But you do raise a point that if competition is below 200, it doesnt guarantee you will do well. But using rough estimates as guides makes the article a lot more specific and useful for most readers.
It was a good tips . Thank you for sharing. You can promote your blog or site to related and with high traffic site.
The OP's just giving an estimate, what you target can depend on the authority of your site. If it's a new site with few backlinks, stick to the less competitive terms and as your site grows in authority start targeting the bigger terms. If you find you are easily ranking for something with 200 results in quotes, start targeting terms with slightly more competition but more search volume. With practice you will find a figure for your site that will generally land you on the front page.
