Hi. I need someone to convert two existing logos to Vector Based Graphics for use in a future brochure. Should hopefully be easy to do for someone skilled in vector programs. Please PM me for more details, though I am a bit short on cash but willing to pay a small amount.
Can you attach the 2 logo images you are referring to so we can all see the complexity of them? Thanks
That's why I asked to see attachments of his logos Banago. Most auto trace software's lose a lot of detail if the logo is complex. Even the all famous Adobe Illustrator & VectorMagic lose detail in complex images when tracing. Best results are normally done through manual reconstruction. A professional Vector designer can normally retain all detail in the conversion by rebuilding the logo from scratch.
Hey, Thanks for the reply. I figured one of them already since I found the eps version. The other one is the one at londontrocadero.com (I dont have a proper JPEG version of that one). Let me know if you can help. Cheers.
I went to that site you posted, but I don's see a logo anywhere.. Are you referring to the font used in the name on the right www.londontrocadero.com ?
Yup that's the one. A better version is available on this page http://www.londontrocadero.com/promos/ it's the one to the left of the building image. I did try Freehand and another automatic tool but didnt have much luck with it. It is a bit of a bad quality logo so might be a bit hard to do automatically. Cheers, Stabani
GIMP is free, and is just as good if not better than photoshop - it can convert any image file to just about any other image file.
I couldn't find the font, so i did a quick trace. It's far from perfect & has several bumpy flaws, but it will work until you get a better solution. I'm sure you can't complain much, seeing that I did this for free You can download the Vector versions Here: Zipped Vector Files I wasn't sure what software you use so i provided it in the following formats: .Dpa (x2) / .Wmf / .Eps (cs3) / .Ai (cs) / .Svg (1.1) / .Cdr (x3) Hope that helps temporarily until you can find the font, good luck!
Here you go. High quality trace. Scorpionagency: the secret here is to up the resolution of the image before you import it into your tracing program and then tweak the settings. For the "london", i substituted helvetica because there just wasn't enough information in the original to get it to look nice and smooth. uboodu.com/londontrocadero_eps.eps
Thanks Ramijames! It looks great! Your a saviour! Thanks st ps: yes, helvetica was my guess for the London as well since it was thoroughly messed up.
