Not the best option. Many people will have bought the same PLR articles and you will have to rewrite them for your site, if you don't want duplicate content penalties.
I would say that the PLR articles will be your last option, and try to avoid using it by writing your own articles if you can...
As with anything, something being good or bad depends on your thinking ability, creativity and usage. The best part about PLR articles is the work is done for you. All you need to do (and should do) is rewrite the article. You don't need to research. Of course, this is assuming they are good PLR articles. Poor ones aren't worth the time of day (you know, those 1,000 for $50 packs and crap like that). Give a good PLR article a fresh coat of paint and you're ready to rock n roll. Like I said though, it depends on you. I can make money from any type of content, but that's me.
the best way is the find good plr articles, read them and rewrite the articles you like. Use the rewritten articles in your website. Dont use the original plr article as it it to avoid duplicate content penalties.
I agree with rewriting process. One of my good friends has a website that promotes her PLR articles and haven't been sold that often...if you're interested, PM me and i'll give you her website.
I don't understand why people want to use PLR articles and NOT rewrite them. Duplicate content doesn't do your website any good. Does anybody have an idea if PLR websites these days do good business still? I think original content is still the key.
Original/fresh content is key but PLR articles have their place. If i used plr articles i would rewrite them myself. 9/10 the content is crap but the ideas to rewrite it are all there for you. It's not hard to turn 500 words of crap into a 750 word quality article if you know the subject, which i presume you/we writers would.
It depends on the quality of PLR articles.majority of them just add up to the garbage.Rewriting such PLR articles would be shear waste of time and energy.You could better write a fresh article on your own within the same time limits.I would suggest to rewrite only the best ones. Webmasters are better judges if placing PLR articles as such would be of any benefits or not.

There are people who know what they are talking about (direct experience) and those that don't (no experience, 3rd party chatter, etc). If you buy PLR stuff, just rewrite it. That's no different that writing from scratch (obviously). The main question is the quality. There's good and bad everything out there. I'm looking at some PLR content right now and I can assure you, it's better than most of the original stuff I've seen on DP. Buy from credible sources. If you see someone selling 1,000 PLR articles for $30, walk away. Garbage PLR will be dirt cheap. Good PLR articles will usually start around $1 and go up from there depending on topic, depth, quality, limits, etc.

Well, that's a whole other conversation. If you write PLR articles, it means you can sell it to others multiple times. The exact rules are up to you. Obviously, you'll make less per sale, but you could make more overall depending on what you charge, sales, etc. When selling a PLR article, a few things you'll want to address are: *note: they = buyer 1. Do they have to rewrite the article to to use it? If so, is it a certain percent (like rewrite 30% to use)? 2. Can they resell the article to others? If so, do the people they sell it to get permission to rewrite? 3. Can they resell the PLR right to others? 4. How can and can't the article be used (as you wish, article submissions, blogs, etc)? 5. Are you selling just X copies (if so, you need to stick with the number). Here's an example list for a hypothetical situation where a client is buying one PLR article: - Client must rewrite at least 50% of the article to use and client can do this unlimited times. - Client is not permitted to resell the articles as PLR nor extend any licenses to others. Client may sell the article to others as a one-off provided at least 75% of the original article is rewritten. - Client may use the article as desired (article submissions, blogs, etc). - 50 copies of this article will be sold. Hope that helps some. There's more, but that should give you an idea.
I would say they can be your first option starting a website from the scratch before writing or hiring someone to write your content.
Buying and using PLR articles is so popular because most people just don't have time to write perfect articles. If this is your situation, you ought to buy some PLR articles. But I would definitely spend 15 minutes modifying and tweak those articles as a rule. Try to add a few new words to every sentence or something, and rearrange the way some sentences are phrased. This will help you avoid the wrath of The Big G. Not God, but Google... Or maybe they're one in the same?
