How has SEO helped you make money online? Since you started focusing on SEO (link building) have you made more money online. Do you think you could make money online just focusing on Quantity of content? I know several web owners that state a website is about content only and they refuse to link build or use any SEO at all.

Most of the traffic to our websites (web hosting, internet marketing) comes through Google and SEO today. For web hosting for instance it has allowed us to avoid completely paid marketing. It is a still a small operation (2~3,000USD/month in revenues) but definitely not something to spit on

Try not to confuse yourself here. SEO is not only about link building as it covers other aspect as well and the scope is much wider as it involves improving a site's coding and structure, use of keywords and meta tags and also of course part of it is link building. The way you ask your question implies that SEO is only about link building which I think is not accurate.
