One site has low Google backlinks, low PR, but keep position top 3 on Google Another one double number Google backlinks, higher PR , but very low Google position. I estimated links. They are more or less similar. But domain of the first one is in 4 years oldder. What cna be other reasons?
Older domain and probably older backlinks - that's the reason Also it's not easy to estimate the value of the backlinks and it varies greatly.
Well, Google's algorithm is very complicated, you can not know what is the reason that why this site is upper than others, there is a lot of factor, like on-page optimization, back links quailty and others. thanks

that's call quantity and quality may be that's the reason behind it, If you got only one backlinks from relevant and high PR site then it's good for 15 or 10 back links which you collected from comment( I mean irrelevant or 0 PR)
Agree. Domain age have also an impact in serp position. Also number of competitors on the keywords they use.
Page rank and ranking is not similar. higher ranking depends om many things and one of them is unique content.
I'm no expert but it could have something to do with the amount of and quality of the competition for each of the sites....
I've also seen more of that crap lately. A website with only the basic joomla template installed, no backlinks, no nothing execpt a <h1> tag with keyword and has a position 4 on a medium competition keyword (180000 competing websites).
