Nice niche and content. Use one rectangle ad unit to get more CTR. You also need to look at your title and meta tags to improve search engine listings.
Great work! I really like the color scheme. The attractive eagle picture is an excellent supplement to the design. so, it is associated with energy, strength, power, imho. You need to create more categories, but it's the matter of time, I think. And one more thing. I have notices a small GUI issue: under FF your Google ads are depicted improperly. I have attached a small screen shot. Oops, sorry for confusing you. I missed one thing. It's not your Google ad, but my SEOQuake bar (ads spy), so it's only me who can see it. Again sorry
Your site layout looks really alluring. I would recommend more useful blog content. It has more of adsense. Try to work out on more traffic. Yes get some free SEO tools to work on that.
You can put some google ad under "Categories' box. That might be helpful earning some adsense amount. Right now you have it only on top.
That would be cheating Though that does work it scams your users and usually makes them never want to come back. You may get the money for that one click, but you never know how many times that person could click ads in the future, and if you scare them away with that you won't get those (hopeful) future ad clicks. Plus no one likes there readers leaving for something as silly as that.
