So what's the stupidest thing you've ever done in your life? I ask because on Wednesday I planted my face on our concrete front yard after attempting to ride my niece's skateboard. Total wipeout. Ouch.

    Beat that!

I ran into a chalkboard once and cracked my head open. I could run so fast back in the day.

Dumbest thing I've done is have an auction of my paintings.
I noticed on eBay that fine art didn't really sell well. My thoughts were
that people really needed to see the work. And having a "no reserve" auction
would bring people flocking in to see the work, start a bidding war, and I would
be rich...and everybody would live happily ever after.
    Not quite.
My publicity guy (gf's reporter brother) let me down, so I didn't get much exposure,
no bidding war ensued, and I lost about 5 years of work for no money. Dumb, dumb, dumb....
I believed that people would like my work and bid what they thought it was worth, at least a respectable amount. They didn't. In nearly all cases the final bid wasn't enough to cover the materials that were used. A detailed drawing with a £50 frame went for £5, etc.
    Beat that!

I passed up a 6 figure contract, after only 1 year in the computer field(self-taught consultant), to join a small dot-com. I was 'allowed' to buy in at almost zero cost for 50,000 shares. So I owned a part of the company too, but paid as a independent contractor. The dot-com paid me salary, at a rate 1/2 what I was worth(my current offers) if I only worked 40-50 hours. In real life, the dot-com consumed 70-84 hours a week. In-fact strained my marriage too, and as you read my health.

I based my decision on trusting an ex-coworker "My Buddy", and felt anyone that was a deacon in their church had to be trustworthy and a natural leader. Since he was the project lead developer, and I as his whole team, we couldn't lose. Soon, "My Buddy" was showing up late for work, 'work' was at a home office in HIS house. BTW: The "home office" was an unheated attic with busted windows, trying to keep warm I would cuddling my laptop. He would tell me to cover for him, while he left town durring the work day, cover for him meant pretend he was in his "home office" while the dot-com founders asked questions via AIM. It wasn't strange that a two-day work-list(because the bosses/dot-com founders were coming over) had him assigned like 12 man-hours of work, and I had 30 (I still have copies of these for laughs), and still he failed to finish his tasks. After few months of this, I was in the hospital for a suspected heart attack @ 30 years old.

As soon as my contract was over I just walked out, and now I have 50,000 shares of useless stock, and "My Buddy" the ex-deacon tried selling off components of the product as his own under our noses, and then went off to work for a large religious organization as some big-wig IT dude.

Stupidest thing I did, was passed up bashing "My Buddy's" head in with a rock when he was asleep at his computer.

    ;)

:D you're thai? I've been to bangkok 1 week ago, i've been to sukhumvit to plenty of massages :D, was very fun

But for hte stupidest thing i've ever done is that:

I was at a party and i was very drunk, it was in a night club and i was with one of my bro's and my friends. Suddenly there is this beautiful girls that comes nearby me and she was gorgeous, and she asked me precisely " Do you know where is my boss ? ". And i was like looking for her boss for like 5 minutes in the night club, no chat nothing, i was willing to help her, i was serious and nothing fancy, finally she got away and i was feeling normal but drunk.

Then i noticed that my friends stared at me during the whole chat with the girl....
One of them hit my head and told me to do not let that kind of girl go away, after i realized i missed a huge opportunity to make friend with her :D, not on the moment but after

    Was silly!!!

No wonder why you love it :D I wish i was living in bangkok or even pattaya. First Thailand is for me a world that grown up without any control! You've buildings everywhere, and their skytrain is very sophisticated ( more than the one in Paris :p). In Saigon we just have 5 major buildings.
    In bangkok? Countless number..

I also i want to live there because of girls:cool:

Not listen to the warnings of my parents and the older people around me that tried to save me the heartaches they had already experianced.
