It takes time to build up the consistent traffic. Keep adding content and building links and make sure your site is optimized properly.
how long exactly?? and can you please tell me how to optimize the site or point me in the right direction!!
A simple google search for improving SEO would set you on the right direction to improving your SEO. I would emphasise many points that have been already written. Something I concentrate on is commenting on other blogs and creating a presence on the web. Be active in social media like Digg, StumbleUpon, etc and you'll see your traffic rise. The key as always is writing content that is unique and can offer good advice. They'll always keep coming back for more and you'll see a steady increase in your stats. Keep working hard and learning, Carl

Another thing to consider is Yahoo Answers. I have always gone on there to answer computers and internet related questions. They also had a section on my niche, so at the same time I was answering questions, a link back to my site was being produced every couple minutes.
