Doubling your RAM always feels good. I finally upgraded from 2x512mb dual channel DDR2 PC2-5400 to 2x1gb dual channel DDR2 PC2-6400.
It only cost like $45 for G.Skill RAM from newegg.com.

Would it be like 20 bucks cheaper to use tigerdirect.com?

Are you looking at 1024mb or 2x1024mb ? I bought 2x1024mb. The prices look similar to me.

when i search i find about three or more 2x 1024 for $30 or less. Newegg might be better if your based in the UK. Not to sure how much shipping is. But tiger is cheaper on prices.

 

I recently upgraded the RAM of one of my PC to 1 gb from 512 mb. The speed is really amazing. But now the PCs are being sold with 4 GB ram

 

Yeah TigerDirect's low prices are usually through rebates and I've heard bad things about their rebate service.

The prices with asterisks next to them(which seems to be almost all of them) are usually priced after mail-in rebates.
