whats a good free script for a gallery, that lets you batch upload images

i have about 50k images to upload and dont want to mess about 1 or 2 at a time

have tried coppermine and its too sketchy

 

Do you want to explain what type of gallery/features you're requiring? Such as a wallpaper gallery site or portfolio site?

 

zenphoto is a good one - I use it on one of my sites, and it's really easy to set up and customize.

There is a good one on wordpress - next-gen gallery.

You will have to install wordpress on the subfolder of your site, but its an excellent gallery plugin. You just dump all the images in a folder and it uploads them to the site.

 

basically i have about 100,000 small thumbnail pics i want to display on a site and i cant be indexing them 1 at a time

 

Any of the suggestions in the posts above will do automatic indexing/ page generation for you. There really are some good (free) gallery scripts out there - take advantage of them!

 

50K images is a large amount of images. What are the images for?

 

they are just avatars
i want to make a site offering free avatars for forum users
and possibly make a few $$$ on adsense
