hi guys. i'm quite new to all this and i managed to get my blogspot blog to number 1 on google for my targeted keyword and within the top 5 for several others. i now can't find it at all for any of the keywords i was competing for. i'm working away from home just now so can't always get internet access to link build etc so i assume it's down to this but should it disappear so dramatically? i used the shoemoney SERPS tool and it came up not found on all search engines for all my keywords. oh and i am still listed, i've not been banned or anything. what i'd like to know is if i build more links if it will reappear in the top google ranks. it's a blogspot blog by the way, if that makes any difference? cheers guys.
It could be that you sent too many links with the same anchor text. Or sent too many links too fast. These things can set off a "filter" trigger with Google. How new is your site?
Building link back is important but makes ure you get backlinks from related website. It will boost visibility in google. Also, try to include text on your pages. Do not try to create link doorways on site, google can treat those site as bad sites.
hey thanks for the reply mate. i tried to make all my backlinks with the same anchor text, i never knew this was a bad thing to do. my site is around 30 days old. i can't have built any more than 20 back links in this time however, which isn't a lot is it? is there any way this can be reversed or fixed? cheers.
Yeah, when building backlinks you have to do it "naturally", because google sees backlinks like "votes" as you've probably heard before. If all backlinks were of the same anchor text that wouldn't be natural and Google will catch on. Do variations of your keyword, then the actual URL as the anchor and one or two "click here" and so on.
