a faster dual core kills normal Quad core... For home use, celeron is good enough. If you don't play game u don't even need a video card. 2 GB ram is more than enough My friend got a Quad AMD and 8 GB ram, high end video card with Vista..but my core2duo laptop with ubuntu run much faster and smoother that it..and compiz pwned vista's visual effect big time i am getting the 7k320 next Mondy..can't wait to pop it in my lappy
some people like bang for buck (esp since if they got a quad core extreme 99% of people wont use all the power or need it) and then there's customer service never dealt with Intel as the only Intel PC/laptop I've had were my first one and the laptop I'm on rn (and when the processor burnt out on this laptop I had to deal with acer... sigh.... hate acer) but AMD's customer service are really nice. I got my processor replaced with no hassle (even though it was my fault for putting it in the socket the wrong way, oops, shouldn't replace processors at 3am) and it only took 3 days for me to send it them and for them to send it back oh, and my next rig will be AMD because of both these factors
I like dual core which is better than celeron It is faster than celeron PC. Fast work is needed for each people at this time...
that's sweet, customer service is important. Between, my friend had a compaq with a AMD processor and trust me he had a tough time dealing with it. Ohh,absolutely!!
Celeron is fine for general use, Office functions, internet, all the basic stuff. Dual Core, I think provides better functionality with multitasking, and better for stream videos online ect...
