Well, smack in the middle of my site I have 2 skyscrapers. But alot of people are posting saying medium/large square ads generate the best money. Is there some secret behind this? Like, should I replace the 2 skyscrapers with 2 square ads? Site is in my sig if you want a preview of the 2 skyscrapers
I really love the look of your site Kengeki! I think your ad placements are great and really blend well! Some people advocate the use of rectangle ads inside the text body - woven into the fabric as it were. This seems to produce a tonne of clicks for many! Cheers, Dave.
after reading the photographer who went from $1.50 to around $10 after using box ads in the content, i tried it last night swapping skyscraper ads to box ads within content and i already have earned in 6 hours what i have been doing in a whole day. your site has 4 google ads on the front page. i think the general rule is maximum of 3. personally i only put 1 per page. i recently tried 2 on the home page and ended up with a lower CTR and got smart priced (lower pay grade).
I posted about my ads already . I only have 3 ads, the 4th is a link unit, you can have 3 ad units, the link unit doesn't count towards that 3. And alright, I'll try the square ads today
There is no high-paying format.. as long as you have goog traffic and people keeps visiting ads in adsense, no need to worry about..
Medium or Large sized block ads work best at the top or bottom of your content but unfortunately content is what you are clearly lacking. Put some more content there please. Skyscraper ads work best in sidebars or small narrow columns. Placing two skyscraper ads alongside your content was a bad idea. You need to work on your website layout first before doing any optimizations. Good luck!
Just my personal opinion.. but I think the skyscraper placement is all wrong. You need to focus your visitors on the content of your site.. if youlook like a giant ad.. which you currently do users will be turned off by your site.
