    Well use other websites to check the pr of sites. I have heard that the pagerank of the toolbar can be manipulated by websites.

    You don't need a tool, just an IQ above 14 to figure out which PageRank is faked.

    Just type info:domain.com in your google search. If there are no results or if the returned URLs does not match the
    original URL given then most likely the PageRank is fake. You don't need sophisticated SEO to help you on that.

    I do not need most of the time PR checker tool. I always prefer google Tool bar.

    when I check the PR from third party tools they check the PR from 20 something Google servers. And Toolbar.google.com is one of them.

    Just trying to increase my IQ to over 14, so please bare with me.
    I just tried that info:domain.com on one of my sites, and I got no results.
    You did say "most likely the PageRank is fake" so I guess there are some cases when this does not hold true.
    (My PR is 0, hardly worth faking really aye :))
    So why would a site that is indexed by Google come back with no results?

    Try different websites before buying any pr product like link or domain name . If it is fake than everyone display separate results .

    For those having IQ more than 14, they not even need the google or other search engines at all. ;)

    Why do those with 14+ come and waste ur time here.

    If someone asks for a help, try to solve their problem. Instead of showing ur IQ and other things shows itz fully waste to have 14+
