It happens, I get 300 hops and no sales sometimes. It seems your in the wrong niche or just having a dry day. Your revealing your niches btw with that screen shot but I can tell you that is a competitive niche.

Ah yes, I've had times like these. I like how you show all of the CB products you are promoting... I guess you figure with conversions like that you don't have anything to hide.

Is this unusually low - have you done well with these publishers in the past?

    Should we even ask if...

    1) That traffic is targeted?

    2) Those are real hops (not you checking your hoplink 413 times)?

    3) You checked that your affiliate ID is showing at the order pages? (Yes, the order page of EACH product)

yesterday and today. i first ran just bryxen5 (directory submitter) as major with the niche chopper forex as minor. the directory submitter software is a perfect match for my user base.... but i got nothing after 150 hops.

i wrote to bryxensoftware and asked them about their conversion rate. they said 4% of those who download the free software upgrade to platinum. but what percentage download the free software? if only 25% of the hoppers avail of the free download, then 4% of that is 1% of the hops. i asked them about that, no reply, so i started trying other programs. i am rotating all of these at random.

    exactly my point.

Yesterday was kind of an average (little below average) day for me.

(sorry for the blurry image... hopefully it's still readable.)

exactly! i was tempted to post my username and password so y'all could log in and check it for yourself... but you know that the minute you do that, you get a conversion. ;)

i was trying cb out for the first time... and last! i will stick to ppc from now on. in fact, i already started phasing cb out earlier today... But i have a lot of pages and it takes time to pull all the ads.

    July 7 Through July 9

As Web_18 says - it's all about matching traffic to the product. Plus I think it's very important to pre-sell your traffic. My conversions always go up when I pre-sell traffic.

In fact those are just my overall numbers - but some of those hops aren't getting very well pre-sold which is why their conversions are lower.

I have been doing about $400 a period in commissions for the last few months, so far this period considering we are near the end? A measly $30!

Quite strange seem as though I havent changed anything on my site, traffic is a little up is anything and sales from the other products I promote are still going strong.

Oh well Ill monitor for another week or so and see if things pick up.

My niche went from an average of 15 sales per day in sales to zero today. This has been the worst week in about 4 months. I am now losing money in PPC and this is the first time since I started promoting this product that I've lost money.

Ever since the 4th of July, my sales have been in the crapper. I went from a record 26 sales last Tue (Jul 1) to zero today (using PPC). F#$cking Amazing. I checked out my traffic sources and my number of clicks have both remained constant. I checked out my competition and it doesn't seem like they're "stealing" anything away from me.

The traffic I am sending to my the merchant CB landing page is very targeted, and I'm getting the same amount of hops just less sales. There seems to be a pattern across all niches.

Needless to say this is started to get very frustrating. I know a niche can't be successful forever due to a number of reasons (less demand, more competition etc) but to drop like this is unexplainable. I can only think that people are on holidays right now because school is out and are not sitting in front of the computer shopping. Of course this depends on your niche too, but still this is brutal. You still can't explain the same number of clicks and hops, unless the summer traffic is cheap and less willing to pull out their wallets (which I would find hard to believe).

Oh and I'm not promoting Water for Gas or that niche so the decrease in sales is not due to Google clamping down.

**Hey OP - I see you're promoting a few of my products - in the spirit of helping - a) please feel free to get more focused help on these products and niche at the private forum (free)

While I can't explain or solve the problem for everyone, I am both pub and aff, and personally have only seen increases in both recently.

OP - Directory submission << Is that your only tactic? How else do you promote? And what exactly does the submitter do (which directories) - getting articles and ads on 100 smaller directories is going to yield bung traffic, and ONE good one (ezine for instance) with manual submission gets you real buyers every day...

With those numbers - and looking at how many different publishers you are promoting, I will agree that 'if that is prime traffic (questionable atm)' yes you should have converted at least once somewhere.

Might sound silly but start with the basics - Check your links right through to the order page - make sure your articles aren't altered re clicks (hey imagine a directory switching your aff links on you? ever heard of cookie stuffing a forum or directory btw?). - DON'T use a cloaking service, as all your links become vulnerable to one basket and site - Try to diversify your campaigning not 'just' rely on a submitter (or do you mean submitter like onlywire/socialmarker?).

Hard to say much more without you giving up more info - if you'd like personal help converting and diversifying your marketing so you have several streams of targeted traffic please come on board to the forum so we can assess your campaigns properly in private fashion :)

Cheers and it's brave of you to show your niches mate - you actually chose really good products for the most part however your traffic is 'that other half' - today alone I have at least 10-15 affiliates that send 1000+ hops every day in phases of a week/two and never convert (crap traffic/bots/ptc/bux/submitters/just wrong demo/etc.) so don't judge a portfolio by its cover.

Hey Norb. I spent some time at your site.

I was planning to email you, I noticed a typo on your site... it says "specilized advice" on the merchants.html page at nichechoppers. Plus the "Get marketing tools" for projectt wwealthy page on nichechoppers.com is blank, no banners, nothing. I was gonna include that product.

Since promoting other people's stuff isn't working too well for me, I might just roll out my own product, but I would need help with it and that's what you do, right? I will be filling out your form soonish. See where that idea goes.

guys, thanks for sharing... glad to hear it's not just me. i'm a rookie at clickbank after all. guess it's just a dry spell... must be the alignment of the moon and the planets or something :) hang in there guys.

zibblu, can you explain what 'pre-selling' is? as far as i know it refers to selling something that is yet to be built or made... but what did you mean with pre-sell in this case, and how is it done?
